Food Supplies For Breakfast, Lunch, Snack

An on going need at our school is funding for food supplies. Children simply respond better when they have proper nutrition. Without it not much can be accomplished.

Health begins with nutrition. At Casa de Sara’s Escuelita, well-balanced meals are provided. Our meals consist of meat, chicken, potatoes, yuca, rice, eggs, cereals, vegetables, beans, fruit, breads, juices and milk. Our meals are high quality, fresh foods that are best for our kids. It’s not cheap, its best and quality is the most important in our minds for our kids.

Home Visit Program

A significant problem in Bolivia is domestic abuse and unstable home lives. *Two-thirds of all children in the country report physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Many times we will hear from our students disturbing stories of what goes on at home. Physical abuse, alcohol, abandonment are all very common.  In Casa de Sara’s school, education does not stop with the child. We reach out to the family as well. Casa de Sara’s home visit program allows for our staff to better understand what is happening in the home of our students. It also allows family members a chance to talk over their problems with a trusted professional and receive counseling to better their lives. This in turn helps our children in school and at home. Our home visit program allows private assistance for the family and our educational seminars allow the community to attend and learn better behavior and parenting skills to help break the cycle of abuse.

Our budget of this program is $6,200. This supplies the psychologist, materials, and specific family-need funding. For more information contact us.
